Threatened Species: The following list
includes all mammals which occur in Vietnam and are rated as Critically
Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.
- Critically Endangered:
- Cat Ba Island Golden-headed Langur (Trachypithecus
poliocephalus).
- Chapa Pygmy Dormouse (Typhlomys chapensis). (Endemic to Vietnam.)
- Javan Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros
sondaicus).
- Kouprey (Bos sauveli).
- Small-toothed Mole (Euroscaptor parvidens). (Endemic to Vietnam.)
- Sumatran Rhinoceros (Dicerorhinus
sumatrensis).
- Tonkin Snub-nosed Monkey
(Rhinopithecus avunculus). (Endemic
to Vietnam.)
- Vietnam Leaf-nosed Bat (Paracoelops megalotis). (Endemic to Vietnam.)
