Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Zambia and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals

    • Large-eared Free-tailed Bat (Otomops martiensseni).
    • Lion (Panthera leo).
    • Pitman's Shrew (Crocidura pitmani). (Endemic to Zambia.)
    • Spotted-necked Otter (Lutra maculicollis). 
    • Springhare (Pedetes capensis).
