Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Mauritius and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.

Critically Endangered:
- Rodrigues Flying Fox (Pteropus rodricensis). (Endemic to Mauritius.)
Vulnerable:
- Dugong (Dugong dugon).
- Greater Mascarene Flying Fox (Pteropus niger). (Endemic to Mauritius.)
- Natal Free-tailed Bat (Mormopterus acetabulosus).
