Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Sao Tomé and Principe and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals

  • Vulnerable:
    • Sao Tomé Collared Fruit Bat (Myonycteris brachycephala).  (Endemic to Sao Tomé.)
    • Sao Tomé Free-tailed Bat (Chaerephon tomensis). (Endemic to Sao Tomé and Principe.)
    • Sao Tomé Shrew (Crocidura thomensis). (Endemic to Sao Tomé and Principe.)
